William Bill Busta, 67, of Great Falls passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from natural causes.A memorial service will be Monday, April 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Please dress casual, sports logos (especially the Griz), shorts or jeans would please Bill. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Bill was born October 31, 1949 in Dickinson, ND to Delbert and Ida Busta. They moved to Great Falls where Bill was raised. He attended CMR High School and the University of Montana. He worked for UPS for 28 years. His favorite route was the Cascade/Dearborn area. He was very proud of his 25 years spent with the Air National Guard family.He was previously married to Colleen McAllister and fathered Ryan and Dori. He met Shar in 1997 and they married in 2002 in Las Vegas, NV which brought Kim into the family.Bill loved to golf with his brother Chuck. He participated and supported the Camp Fire Boys and Girls Tournament and the OPs Liquid Open for years. He enjoyed being at the gym and volunteered at the PEAK. He walked and bicycled all over Great Falls. He craved Borries spaghetti and ravs even when sick. He loved the Griz and held season tickets for years. Everyone always had the best time at our tailgates.Bill was a simple man. He went out of his way to help everyone. It was his greatest asset and greatest fault. He was affectionately called Uncle Bill by many people.Bill enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas to gamble, Ireland to explore, Portland to visit his daughter, South Korea to visit his son, and an exciting trip last year to Daytona 500 with his dear friend Dan. He was a loving grandfather and was so proud of his kids education and success.He was preceded in death by his loving parents Delbert and Ida Busta in which he missed terribly; father-in-law Eugene Nurmi; brothers-in-law Terry McAllister, Gary Gravlin and Mack Wade; sister-in-law Bobbi McBride; and nephew Geno Wade. His mother-in-law, Alda passed away January 20, 2017 in which they had a very special bond. Bill loved to spoil her.He is survived by his wife, Sharlene Busta of Great Falls; son Ryan Busta of Steilacoom, WA; daughters Dori Busta of Portland, OR and Kim (Richard) Bundy of Fort Meyers, FL; brother Chuck (Linda) Busta of Bozeman; sister-in-law Michelle Gravlin (Darrel Skolrud) of Great Falls; grandchildren Avery and Isaac of Portland, OR; Claire and Kaitlyn of Fort Meyers, FL; nieces Janell Brown of Billings, Kim Parsons of Plano, TX, and Gabrielle Bugnon of Great Falls; nephews Jesse McAllister of Billings, Mike Busta of Auroa, CO, Chris Tompkins, Anthony Kuntz, and Cody McBride all of Great Falls, and Ben Bugnon of Bozeman; and too many friends to list that were dear to him.A special thank you to, Dr. Harkness, Jeannie Fahlquist, Sonja Gilson and Peace Hospice for their sincere caring, support and love.In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated for our military vets at volunteer.va.gov or Peace Hospice.
