Connie Tice

August 13, 1944 — April 18, 2017

Constance Connie Marie Lane Tice, 72, of Great Falls, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, with family at her bedside.A vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. A funeral liturgy will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.Connie was born and raised on the Westside of Great Falls and was raised by her grandmother, Margaret Mom Galvin, after her parents divorced. The saying that it takes a village to raise a child was never more accurate. Being from a large Irish Catholic family, there was never a shortage of cousins, aunts and uncles to play with and rely on. After her Mother Audrey married John Cefro, she gained a father and two little sisters. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Grade School and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1962. She met her future husband, Harvey Charles Chuck Tice while he was serving in the Air Force at Malmstrom Air Force Base. They were married on April 4, 1964 at St. Joseph Parish. Connie and Chuck welcomed twin boys, Tracy and Kelly and 2 years later a daughter Pennee. Connie worked numerous jobs such as desk clerk at the Park Hotel, PBX operator at the old Columbus Hospital, Columbia Paint and lastly at Poulsens. She really loved her job at Poulsens and customers specifically asked for her or would wait in line until she was able to help them. Lifelong friendships were made. In April 1980, Connie and Chuck tragically lost one of their twin boys, Kelley. Their lives were never the same. About 15 years ago, Connie was contacted by her half-brother, Paul Leetz, whom she welcomed into her life with open arms. Paul and Connie have the same father, Shon Lane.Connie so loved her children and their expanding families although distance sometimes made it hard to be as close as she would have liked. She enjoyed traditional Thanksgiving and Christmas family dinners and get togethers first at her mothers home and then at her sister, Cheryls home after Audrey passed away. We would like to thank our cousin Colleen Galvin Holzheimer for her extended care of Connie the last several years. Colleen truly made a difference in Connies life. Also, our cousin Audrey Sabol spent some of Connies last hours with her and her family at Hospice, we are so grateful to you, thank you!Connie is survived by her two children, Tracy (Judy) Tice and Pennee Tice Thompson; grandchildren Meagan Loney Keller and her fianc Jeff Stover, Octavia ( Kyle) Tice Brewer, Logan Tice, Leah Thompson, and Jackson Thompson; great grandchild Avery Stover; sisters Shelley Cefro (Ken)Glueckert and Cheryl Cefro (Mark) Johnson; brother Paul Leetz and his family; father-in-law Harvey Tice, Sr.; aunts Bridgie Galvin Jimenez and Marie Galvin.
