Our History
Schnider Funeral Home was established in 2001 with a clear vision—to create a warm, personal funeral home where families’ needs always come first. After working in large, corporate-owned funeral homes, founder Steve Schnider envisioned a different kind of environment for Great Falls: one built on personal connection, attentive service, and meaningful support.
The funeral home was constructed with comfort and care in mind, featuring cathedral ceilings, abundant natural light, large windows, and an inviting indoor water fountain in the main entrance. These elements were chosen to create a peaceful, welcoming setting for families during difficult times.
As the needs of the community grew, Schnider Funeral Home expanded its services and facilities, including the addition of a warm, bright gathering room suitable for intimate funeral services, receptions, and post-service gatherings. The arrangement office was designed to bring families together around a table—encouraging conversation, storytelling, and the planning of a meaningful, personal tribute.
Since opening, Schnider Funeral Home has remained committed to providing exceptional care, building trust through professionalism, and serving Great Falls with compassion and attention to detail. What began as a vision in 2001 has grown into a trusted community resource for families throughout Montana.
