Obituary for Buck Randall Schlehr

Buck Randall Schlehr was known to his family and friends as a down-to-earth, redneck hillbilly. He was at home in the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He could always be counted on for a quick poker or pool game, and was the life of the party.

Buck was compassionate, and offered his support to anyone in need without judgement. He could always be counted on to give his brutally honest opinion and seemed to know just what to say to make anyone smile.

Buck worked hard throughout his life and had many accomplishments. He became certified in both welding and heavy equipment operation, showing everyone that success comes to those who are willing to reach for it. Through it all, he never lost sight of those around him, and lent a helping hand to his fellow trainees, coworkers, and friends.

Although his medical challenges prevented him from achieving his life-long dream of serving in the military, his patriotism was unmatched. His strength and courage made him an inspiration to all who knew him.

Those who knew Buck lost a shining light in their lives. Buck is survived by his parents, Jerry and Kim; brothers, Luke (Nichole) and Jarod (Charmayne) Burton; sisters, Jenna and Jessica; and grandmothers, Jennifer Burton and Joyce Bush. He will also live on in the memories of his loving aunts; uncles; cousins; and unofficially adopted family and friends.

Buck was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dwight Burton and Max Bush. He continues to be loved here on earth, as well as in heaven. We love and miss you so much.
